It's GLBT week at
lunatunes, so I've been stocking up on "gay" music today. :) Anyway, here's what I posted in case anyone on my flist is interested:
Love and Attraction - Darren Hayes
Since the former frontman of Savage Garden is still dodging questions about his sexuality, let's let the music speak for itself: I want her, she wants him, he wants me, I give in.
Take Me or Leave Me - Idina Menzel & Fredi Walker (RENT OBC)
Possibly the best lesbian break-up song ever: Women! What is it about them? Can't live with them or without them.
Wicked Little Town - Stephen Trask
My favorite song from Hedwig and the Angry Inch. This is the Tommy Gnosis version from the end of the film. With all the changes you've been through, it seems the stranger's always you. And, yep, Stephen's gay.
I Am What I Am - Linda Eder
From La Cage aux Folles, a musical based on the French films that also resulted in The Birdcage. I am what I am, and what I am needs no excuses.
I Believe - Stephen Gately
From the Billy Elliott soundtrack and performed by the openly gay Gately from Boyzone. All the years of waiting for your approval, dear, but I realize I don't need it anymore.
