Okay, I went to the dentist today, and he wants me to go to an oral surgeon and have my wisdom teeth and the tooth that's been giving me trouble removed (5 total). He suggested I have them all done at one time, but that it was up to me. So here's my question, if you've had your wisdom teeth out, what do I need to know? Should I have them all done at one time? What's the heal time on this? Anything you think I should know, short of "run screaming from the dentist and never, ever go back." ;)

*whimpers* I don't deal well with pain, and I'm not looking forward to this.

I did all four in one day and then played soccer -- but I live with chronic pain so it didn't seem so bad. If they are not impacted I'd say go for it, it should be a small amout of pain, but you only do it once. Otherwise, I know lot's of people that do one side and then the other. It took a few days of being tender but I was eating solids and chewing 2 days later, -- then again, not much keeps me from food *grins*... Everyone's different and everyone's pain tolerance is different. It's a good question, I hope lots of people reply so you get the full spectrum. I would definitely tell your dentist that your aprehensive and see what he says.

*Hugs* hope you feel better soon and it goes well, which ever way you decide to go.

Wow, I'm impressed.

Thanks so much for your take on it. I really appreciate it. :) I'm still nervous, but I feel a little better after reading the replies I've gotten. And not much could keep me away from food, either. ;)

*hugs* Thanks again!
