wish list

Step One

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. [Note: Your home address is not required!]

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

Surf around your friendslist (or [livejournal.com profile] holiday_wishes) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. A fic with any of the following pairings:
Bryan Adams/Keith Scott (RPS)
Anderson Cooper/Rob Marciano (RPS)
Ryan/Johnny (The OC)
Brian/Justin/Stuart/Nathan - any combination (QAF US/UK crossover)

2. Any of these GTMs (gay themed movies) in any format. :) I'm vainly attempting to see them all. ;)

3. Music to add to my rather eclectic mix. Anything you like and feel like sharing.

4. Families: A Memoir and a Celebration by Wyatt Cooper.

5. Any random clips of Anderson doing something goofy or funny.

6. A set of text brushes using lyrics from "Stormy Weather." (PSP preferrably, but image packs are fine.)

7. Save Kitchen Confidential! Sign the petition. Please?

8. Someone to see Brokeback Mountain with in the event it actually plays in a theater here.

9. Any sort of random, unexpected surprise. :P

10. To be able to grant at least one wish from someone else's list.

If you've posted your own list, let me know, okay? I've been trying to keep up, but I've been insanely busy the last few weeks. :)

I can send you Mysterious Skin on DVD (ripped and copied, you know the deal). It's the only GMT I have with English sound. :( I love GMTs (new acronym! yay) - thanks for the list. ;) Bad Education is BRILLIANT, but I don't have it. I can add one to your list: A Home at the End of the World (http://imdb.com/title/tt0359423/). Colin Farrell's in it.

I wonder if Brokeback Mountain's going to be here at all. I hope it is! I WANT to see it. Gay Jake, OMG!

If I get to send you a DVD-R I'll also include some music I like. :)

*beams* Thank you! That's just the list of ones I don't have. I can send you a complete list if you want (it's over 5 pages).

I've seen Bad Education, but don't have it yet. ;) I do have A Home at the End of the World - love it. Absolutely wonderful. :)

I also have doubts if Brokeback Mountain is going to play here. I don't think I can bear my flist going on and on about it and not be able to see it.

I'm always happy to meet another GTMer (don't know if that's a word, but I'm making it one.) ;)

Oh yes, I'd love the full list! I like crossing things out. Where did you get it anyway?
My email is zeddy@yandex.ru. And while you're at it, please include your address in the message. ;)

My whole flist is going on about HP4 which drives me nuts, because it only starts here on December 22. You don't strike me as a Potter fan, but it's all the same. Yesterday I saw Total Eclipse DVD on sale, but didn't buy it.. I should have.

I emailed you. :) Sometimes my emails don't go through for some strange reason, so if you don't get it, let me know.
