update and meme

So, I finished up with finals on May 1. Everything went well, and I'm graduating in August. *beams* That means I can, basically, just enjoy the summer, though there is that whole job thing that I am thinking about.

I spent the last few weeks subbing at the elementary school. I am going to miss the kids (today's their last day of school), but not enough to want to go into teaching. Nothing, nothing, prepares you for a child to come crying to you because someone doesn't want to be their friend anymore. Or a third grader who attaches themself to your leg and refuses to let go. Or a little boy to randomly hits himself over the head with books for no apparent reason (raise your hand if you think the teacher should have warned me about that one).

But it was fun, too, and there were some interesting moments. Like when the fifth grade class I was subbing for wanted to watch Big Daddy. I saw it ages ago and had completely forgotten about the Big Gay Kiss. *g* I almost choked on my peppermint, but the kids didn't blink an eye. So proud of them.
