I have one, but mainly to keep up with RL friends that I don't see that often. I certainly don't spend as much time on it as LJ. Yesterday, though, I checked it, and I had a friend request from someone I didn't recognize. That's happened before, and it's usually the friend of a friend, which is fine. Anyway, checked my inbox and there was a message from the same person. Turns out, we went to elementary school together (my grandmother even babysat her). She moved when we were in 2nd grade, so I haven't seen her in almost 20 years (I've never felt so old). We were really good friends, but lost touch (we were in 2nd grade!), and I've always wondered how she was and what she was doing. :) I'm surprised, but thrilled to get to talk to her again. <br /><br /><i>Comment on this post.
