Nine days until Spring Break. To do list before Spring Break:
1) EDU test
2) EDU project
3) 10 article reviews for EDU
(Who does this man think I am? Superwoman?)
4) Rough draft of paper on Merovingian burial practices (What was I thinking!?!)
5) Six more hours of classroom observation.
6) Two quizzes that I don't really intend to study for, but I'm being comprehensive here.

In other news, I would seem that I'm
You scored as agnosticism. You are an agnostic. You neither believe nor disbelieve in God. You don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof).

Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. It is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

. I guess that's pretty accurate. Or not. I don't know. ;)

Please allow me a mini rant about Anderson Cooper, Michael Musto, and closets.

For the record, Michael Musto grates on every nerve I have. I think he's annoying and just a little slimy. And why, oh why, can't I turn on the TV and not see him on every show on E!? Anyway, now he's written an article about Anderson Cooper (who I adore) for the April issue of Out. (Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] matan4il for pointing me to this!)

Anderson has never publicly admitted he's gay, though apparently, it's a not-so-secret secret. I've always thought (or maybe hoped?) so. Not that it matters to me one way or the other. I will still be glued to my TV at 6:00 for 360. It just irritates me that Musto would think he has the right to write that article when it's something private and personal that Anderson clearly doesn't want to (or possibly can't because of CNN) discuss. Especially without even contacting Anderson about it.

Article from NY Daily News about Musto's article:
Does it matter if Anderson Cooper is gay? Out magazine seems to think so.

The CNN anchor wandered into a perfect storm Thursday when he attended a reception for the National Gay and Lesbian Journalists' Association, on a floor of the swank new Time Warner Center, where he shoots his daily program.

One of the hosts - who didn't show - was outspoken Village Voice columnist Michael Musto. The longtime "outing" champion, who has quarreled with Rosie O'Donnell and Liz Smith over their sexuality, has written an article criticizing Cooper for being closeted.

I asked Cooper if he had been contacted about the story, which comes out next week.

"No," he said, digging his hands into his pockets and looking at his shoes.

Any response to it?

"No."
(That part makes me want to hug him.)

Musto told me via E-mail: "I did a piece for the next Out about how wonderful Anderson is, but also examining why he stays publicly closeted. CNN, naturally, had no comment about the personal lives of any of their talent."

Also at the party were the almost indisputably hetero-sexpots Bill Ritter from ABC, CBS' Lesley Stahl, NBC's Ann Curry and Brian Williams and CNN's Soledad O'Brien. Unless Michael Musto knows something else.

And if you read through all that, I now reward you with a quote from the quotable Anderson:

"Going gray is like ejaculating: you know it can happen prematurely, but when it does it comes as a total shock."

I'm not sure I want to know the story behind that comment. ;)
